Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Wildlife

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport on the shores of Lake Victoria. Transfer to Kampala or directly begin the 7-hour scenic drive south-west toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Overnight near the park.

Full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park — one of Uganda's most diverse reserves. Morning game drive through the savannah zone: elephants, buffalo, warthog and Uganda kob. Continue to the Ishasha sector in the south where Uganda's famous tree-climbing lions habitually drape themselves over giant fig trees — a rare and extraordinary behaviour.

Morning boat safari on the Kazinga Channel — the 40km waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George teems with hippos, giant Nile crocodiles, elephants drinking at the banks and an extraordinary diversity of birds (over 600 species recorded). After the boat safari, drive south into the highlands toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

The experience of a lifetime. Begin early with a park ranger briefing before heading into the ancient Bwindi forest with your ranger team and tracker. The trek can take 1–6 hours depending on gorilla family movement. When you locate the habituated family, you spend one precious hour watching mountain gorillas — silverbacks, mothers and playful juveniles — in their natural environment at close range. An experience that changes perspective permanently.

Morning at leisure in Bwindi. Scenic drive back to Entebbe (or fly from Kihihi airstrip). Arrive at Entebbe for your international flight. End of Uganda services.
