After an early breakfast, your driver-guide collects you from your Nairobi hotel. We drive south-west through the Rift Valley escarpment via Narok town — a scenic 5-hour journey. Arrive at your tented camp in time for lunch, then enjoy your first afternoon game drive across the golden savannah. Sundowner drinks on the plains before returning to camp for a bush dinner under the stars.

Rise before dawn for the best light and head out on an extended morning game drive. The Mara is renowned for lion prides, cheetah families and elusive leopards. Between July and October, we position near the Mara River to witness wildebeest river crossings — one of nature's greatest spectacles. Return to camp for lunch and a rest, then a second late-afternoon drive. Look out for elephant herds gathering at the river.

Morning game drive through the open plains with your expert guide, scanning for the Big Five. Mid-morning, visit an authentic Maasai village to meet the Moran warriors, learn about traditional life and support the local community. Afternoon at leisure at camp, then a spectacular sunset game drive. Optional: hot-air balloon safari over the Mara (at extra cost — pre-booking essential).

One last sunrise game drive before breakfast — the morning light over the Mara plains is not to be missed. After a full breakfast, we pack up and begin the drive back to Nairobi, arriving at your hotel or JKIA by early evening.
