Fly or drive to Mombasa. Transfer south across the Likoni ferry to Diani Beach. Check in to your beachfront resort and spend the afternoon settling in. Welcome cocktail at sunset. Dinner at the resort.

Full beach day. Swim in the protected lagoon, try kite-surfing, jet-ski or paddleboarding. Evening: fresh seafood at a local beachside restaurant.

Traditional Swahili dhow to Tiwi marine park for snorkelling over coral reefs with tropical fish, sea turtles and rays. Fresh seafood BBQ lunch on a sandbank. Return by afternoon.

Guided walk through the winding alleys of Old Town — Arab, Portuguese and Swahili architecture. Visit Fort Jesus UNESCO site. Lunch at a Swahili restaurant. Return to Diani for final beach time.
