Mombasa –Coast Beach Holidays
7 days is a perfect amount of time to explore Mombasa and its environs. Check out this 7-day itinerary so that you can make the most out of your adventure of a lifetime to Kenya.
Day 1: Arrive Day
Arrive via train or airplane, where we shall pick you and transfer to Serena Beach Hotels for check in. Get acquainted with the city and stroll through the Old Town to get a feel for the city. Leave for afternoon excursions own arrangement to have some stunning views of the city.
Back in the evening for dinner and overnight at Serena Beach Resort or similar on HB
Day 2: Local Culture
Start your day off with a trip to Ft Jesus, the city’s largest museum and attraction. Built in 1593 by the Portuguese, this storied fort now has daily tours that offer a glimpse into prison cells and torture rooms for slaves before they were traded. The adjoining museum gives a nice overview of the fort’s role throughout the city’s history. Enjoy lunch and head over to Old Town to walk through Mombasa’s varied architecture, which tells the stories of its history with its strong European, Arab and African influences. Hire a guide to really get the most out of your experience. Back to the Hotel for overnight
Day 3: Beach Day
Hit one of the local beaches and enjoy a day of fun in the sun. Both Bamburi Beach and Nyali Beach are within a short distance from Mombasa, and are the best beaches in the area. Relax on the beach and soak up some sun or spend your day enjoying some of the water sports available such as snorkeling, scuba diving and water skiing. Take your lunch near the beaches at one of the many cafes and street stands for lunch. Back for dinner at the resorts for dinner and be sure to stick around for sunset on the beach.
Day 4: Safari Day Trip
Use this day to visit a nearby safari and see close up the breathtaking African wildlife. Located within easy driving distance for a day trip, both the Shimba Hills National Reserve and the Tsavo East and West National Park have large wildlife communities of elephants, leopards, lions and giraffes. No trip to Kenya is complete without a wildlife excursion and this should not be missed.
Back in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Resort Hotel.
Day 5: Culture and Beach
Head North to Malindi today and combine a day of culture with the beach. Check out the Gedi Ruins just south of Malindi, where you can stop and see the ancient lost civilization’s ruins. Then head to the Malindi beach to spend some time snorkeling on the beautiful reefs here. Book a trip to the Malindi Marine Park to enjoy some really amazing views of ocean life.
Day 6: Shopping and Beach
Spend some time at the shops along Moi Avenue and Nyerere Street where you can find many traditional handicrafts like woven baskets, carvings and clothing. Return to one of your favorite beaches in the afternoon for a final swim, snorkel or just a relaxing afternoon.
Day 7: Return Home
Enjoy your early morning breakfast in Mombasa one last time and transfer to the airport or train station to connect for your flight/train back home.
5 Days Mombasa Beach Holiday Package

Day 1: Airport- Hotel
Pick up from the airport and drive through the streets of Mombasa with its ancient buildings to your hotel. Relax, and later take lunch. You can also relax at the beach, sunbathe and take a swim at the cool and fresh waters of the Indian Ocean. Later dinner will be served.
Day 2: Fort Jesus/ Mombasa City Tour
Visit Fort Jesus which was built by the prominent Portuguese and watch convoys of traditional dhows return from their morning fishing excursions in Kilindini’s deep water harbour. Take a tour to the old town of Mombasa, the market, take lunch at Castle Royal hotel and then head to the famous Mombasa tusks.
Day 3: Bombolulu Workshop/ Haller Park Tour
Visit Bombolulu workshop and get a chance to see great artwork while supporting some of Kenya’s disabled artists. Some of the beautiful handicraft and artwork include necklaces and wristband jewelry to wood carvings and leather items. Visit Nakumatt and do some shopping then take lunch. Afternoon visit to Haller Park which consists of Game Sanctuary, Reptile Park, small demonstration Fish Farm area, Palm Garden and a giraffe viewing platform. Get a chance to feed the giraffes which gives you an opportunity to be up close to them where you can admire their beauty of skin. Back to Milele Beach Hotel/Serena Beach for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Mombasa Marine Park
Spend the whole day at Mombasa beach and Marine Park which is a home to a colorful variety of marine species including crabs, starfish, stone fish, cucumbers sea urchins, corals, turtles, sea grasses and interesting migratory birds including crab plovers. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling and diving. Lunch to be taken at Mombasa beach hotel or similar
Day 5: Jumba La Mtwana Tour
Visit the large house of the slave commonly known as Jumba la Mtwana, and increase your knowledge of historical sites in Kenya while enjoying the cool breeze of the ocean. Within this area, four mosques, a tomb and four houses have survived in recognizable condition. These houses include the House of the Cylinder, The House of the Kitchen, The House of the Many Pools, which had three phases, and the Great Mosque. Take lunch at the Moorings floating restaurant. Check out at the hotel and be transferred to the airport to connect for your international flight back home.
Cost per person=$ 1205 Cost includes: -Accommodation on HB, Airport Transfers. The guest pays all the excursions and park fees direct.
