After breakfast, depart to Lake Burera. You will be introduced to traditional sustainable farming methods of African vegetables and fruits, then take a visit to the local fishermen to witness how fishing competition with children from the adjacent villages compete. Day 4: Lake Burea – Gisenyi
After breakfast drive to Gisenyi at the Northern shores of Lake Kivu, take a visit to the tea plantations, and have a tour of the city which repeatedly gained tragic publicity in the past decades because of enormous refugee camps, hunger, and epidemics and, recently, a devastating volcanic eruption that reminded of the fate of the historic town of Pompeii. Dinner and overnight stayed at a lodge.
Day 5: Gisenyi – Rwanda Palace.
After breakfast depart to Nyanza, the historical site of the ancient Rwandan kings and have a visit to the Palace then drive to Butare cultural centre and National Museum and proceed to Kigali for a city tour. In the evening, you will visit the members of a Batwa Pottery Project with an introduction to the life of the first Rwandans. Dinner and overnight stayed at a Hotel.
Day 6: Rwanda Palace – Kigali.
After breakfast drive to Kigali via the genocide memorial sites for your flight back home.
End of Safari.
